More than 3 million Canadians vegetarian or vegan: study
Vegan Option Canada VOC is a nationwide grassroots political activism organization that aims to ensure vegan options are available in a variety of areas, particularly vegan food options. Its founding principles are horizontality, decentralization of power, and a pragmatic approach based on the values of compassion and non-violence. VOC is not forcing anyone to become vegan against their will. Based on a compassionate approach to reducing suffering , we call on the government, in accordance with section 2A of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, to allow individuals to choose food that aligns with their conscience. Everyone should have the right to eat in accordance with their deep values and identity or creed. The C anadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms states, in section 2A, that every Canadian citizen is entitled to freedom of conscience and religion. Therefore, the choice of vegan food cannot be ignored, since it is clearly a matter of conscience.

Vegan Society of Canada
We are a registered non-profit corporation. Our mission can be explained in many pages or a few words: Reduce harm for the benefit of humans, animals and the environment. Our main way to achieve this is to promote the adoption of a vegan lifestyle. The promotion of a vegan lifestyle achieves our dual charitable purpose of protecting and maintaining both the public's health and the environment.
